National Volunteers Week 2026 — The Pink Ladies, QLD Pacific Youth Festival
Great rugby events don't run themselves. Behind the schedules, the sidelines, and the smiles is a team of people who show up early, finish late, and give everything in between — simply because they love the game.
At the QLD Pacific Youth Festival, that team has a name: the Pink Ladies.
This volunteer initiative has created a genuine pathway for women and mums to get involved in rugby — not as spectators, but as the people who make it all work. Through their time, energy, and passion, the Pink Ladies play an integral role in bringing one of Queensland's most exciting youth rugby events to life, delivering an experience that players, families, and clubs will remember long after the final whistle.
Their contribution goes beyond logistics. It's about showing the next generation of players — and the next generation of volunteers — what it looks like when community spirit is put into action.
This National Volunteers Week, we celebrate the Pink Ladies for everything they bring to the Pacific Youth Festival and to the game we all love. We can't wait to see you on the sidelines.
